Welcome to the dungeon! This version adds dungeons with (nested) branches, forks and maps. Other changes include Monster Parts, new and improved texts, improvements to the UI and many tweaks to the gameplay. For the full list, see the changelog below. Enjoy!

Gameplay

  • Devaluate used spells
  • Start with fewer combat things
  • Decrease both enemy and player wound chance
  • Loot contains degraded things like weapons and spells
  • Random dungeon generation with (nested) branches
  • Dungeon notebooks (or pages of) describe exit destinations in the final hall
  • Dungeon side passages that can be either a trap or a branch
  • Maps of dungeons side passages are spread throughout the lands
  • Spirit favor prices at statues start low but increase faster
  • Healing pools no longer sell potions, instead healing has a price
  • Added healing pools to dungeons
  • Healing pools and potions cure poison
  • Poison deals less damage but also blocks hp regen
  • Added Monster Parts: dropped by beast-like monsters and can be used for points or hp
  • When the lock pick DEX check fails, the chest bites and causes damage
  • Goblins might drop "hidden loot" which requires an INT check to search (with poison on fail)
  • Made Haggling a STR check
  • Enemies can flee
  • Keys are no longer level specific
  • Removed shield wielding perk on single-handed melee weapons, instead added defense
  • Boosted shield defense -> shields are now a great way to skip a round without taking too much damage

Texts

  • Improved story introduction
  • Added introduction to the first dungeon
  • Added some encounter texts
  • Added texts to most dungeon places
  • Added texts for statues and healing pools
  • Added texts for when attributes are increased

UI

  • Improve text and item info dialogs
  • Added reporting of new status effects
  • Added points to header
  • Improved some icons
  • Modified header buttons
  • Switch tabs when necessary/convenient
  • Report when weapons/shields break or arrows are spent
  • Add warning signs when weapons, shield or arrows are almost gone

Others

  • Fix bug with status effects
  • Renamed combat spells to magic wands
  • Renamed crystal perk to slime perk
  • Added introduction to statues and favors from the spirits
  • Certain items increase in value over progress
