Path of Adventure 2
Please note: this is a Work in Progress.
This is the sequel to Path of Adventure.
Compared to its predecessor, PoA 2 aims for more depth and variety. New mechanics include:
- Character abilities: Strength, Dexterity & Intelligence
- 3 combat types: Melee, Ranged & Magic
- Multiple lands to travel through
- Multiple endings
- Status effects, ability checks, combat bonuses, weapons with special powers, and more!
Next update will include improvements to the UI and add info and help blobs, but for now, this should get you started:
- Study the character page to learn about most of the new mechanics and stats
- Combat items have an ability requirement denoted by e.g. "STR 5" as shown in inventory. Each missing point means 20% less chance for the combat item to be available at the start of each new combat round. Thus, a character with STR: 3 who carries a weapon with STR 5 will be able to use it about 60% of the time.
- Some regular status-effects:
- Weak: nerfs defense
- Stun: nerfs evasion
- Despair: nerfs attack
- Burn: damage per combat turn, is resolved when combat is over
- Poison: damage per day, resolves over time
